SharpCyborg was born out of a latent need for a more immersive and holistic approach to solving organisational problems; one that offers a true understanding of the context of each unique client organisation and its customers, far beyond what is traditionally offered by mainstream consultancy. SharpCyborg is a business and a concept for studying life in organisations, and follows a tradition based on theoretical work in critical organisation studies, anthropology and post-humanism; bringing theories on technology, culture and people to life for organisations aiming to hold up a mirror to themselves and solve problems.
The research programmes at SharpCyborg are created by the organisational ethnographer and consultant Dr Felicity Heathcote-Márcz.
Felicity specialises in work with large blue chip companies in the financial technology and transportation sectors, and has carried out long term immersive studies of culture, people and how organisations can future-proof themselves operationally and strategically.
Here Felicity appears in the guise of the ‘cyborg ethnographer’.
Our logo at SharpCyborg represents the alien, hidden worlds uncovered and visited via our immersive research methods: the worlds of client organisations that may frighten, delight, surprise, intrigue, or confound. We learn from and take back highly valuable treasures from these worlds, stepping into new territories and learning the customs and language, then step back out again and return with valuable data to create a roadmap to the future.
